Biography<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Ricky Koole (born in Delft, 1972) is an actress and singer. In 1995 she graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts from the Kleinkunstacademie<\/em> in Amsterdam. Since then, she has performed in various plays and films. She creates theater shows centered around music, and has released seven albums: Ricky Koole With Ocobar<\/em> (2017), No Use Crying<\/em> (2013), Wind om het Huis<\/em> (2011), To The Heartland <\/em>(2010), Harmonium Live<\/em> (2009), Ricky Koole<\/em> (2007), and Who\u2019s Suzy?<\/em> (2004).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ricky has created multiple solo theater shows, as well as four music theater shows together with Leo Blokhuis: Harmonium<\/em>, Laagland<\/em> (\u201cNetherland\u201d), Buitenstaanders<\/em> (\u201cOutsiders\u201d), and New Orleans<\/em>. Together, they also released a series of compilation albums titled Songs we shouldn\u2019t forget<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She hosted her own radioshow on Radio NH. Ricky op Zondag<\/em> (\u201cRicky on Sunday\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent years, she starred in the feature length film Sonny Boy<\/em>, and portrayed one of the main characters in the RTL4 medical drama CMC<\/em>, and the NET5 drama series Verborgen Gebreken<\/em>. She has been nominated for various national prizes, including the prestigious Gouden Kalf<\/em>, for roles in Sonny Boy<\/em>, Lek<\/em>, De Jurk<\/em>, Ochtendzwemmers<\/em>, and De Kersenpluk<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four times a year, Ricky organizes services for nonbelievers, opening the new season with songs, reflections, a choir, and a guest speaker (for instance an author or politician). Formerly these gatherings were held in De Nieuwe Liefde<\/em>, and as of 2017 they take place in de Rode Hoed<\/em> in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
